Using Dicro Slide
SUPPLY LIST:
- Cut pieces of clean glass in various
sizes & colors.
- A shallow water container (try a
sectioned plastic plate).
- Clean water and paper towels. Distilled water is recommended.
- Scissors and paper punches in a variety
of shapes.
- Wooden skewers (6”) for moving and
positioning Dicro Slide on glass.
- Long handled tweezers. Use these carefully, they may mark the dichroic.

APPLYING DICRO SLIDE:
1. Cut or punch Dicro Slide into different shapes and sizes.
2. Soak the Dicro
Slide pieces in ¼” to ½” water for 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Remove Dicro
Slide from Water, gently blot excess water on paper towel.
4. Carefully slide and position Dicro Slide onto glass, (it is stronger than it looks).
If Dicro
Slide does not release easily, soak longer.
5. Try layering glass & Dicro Slide.
Experiment, have fun!
6. Fuse as usual.
NOTE:
- Dicro Slide is compatible with any COE
glass.
- Dicro Slide works well uncapped, but like all genuine Cichroic, does not fuse to itself or against other metals.
- Store Dicro Slide so coated sides of dichroic
paper is not in contact with other coated dichroic
paper surfaces.
